Add testimonials to Squarespace

Paste the wall into a Code block on the page where the quotes should appear. Replace your-wall in the snippet with the slug from your wall's share tab. Leave the script address as it is.

  1. Edit the page or blog post.
  2. Hover the section and click Add block, or the + button. Click Code.
  3. Click the pencil icon on the block.
  4. In the Mode menu, choose HTML. CSS and JavaScript modes show the code as text instead of running it.
  5. Paste the snippet. Leave Display Source off. That toggle also shows the code as text.
  6. Save. Then log out, or open the page in a private window. Squarespace sometimes hides custom code while you are logged in. Preview in Safe Mode is how you check it without logging out.
<div data-wall="your-wall"></div>
<script src="https://raveroll.com/embed.js" async></script>

Until you publish, the embed says the wall isn't published yet. Collecting and approving is free.

Plan limits

A Code block can hold HTML on every current Squarespace plan. JavaScript and iframes run during a trial, on the Core, Plus, and Advanced plans, and on some older plans Squarespace no longer sells. On the current Basic plan the code stays in the block and does not run. Squarespace shows you a note about that while you are logged in. Visitors do not see the note.

An iframe is blocked on Basic too, so the hosted wall cannot be embedded there. Link to https://raveroll.com/w/your-wall instead, with your slug in place of your-wall.

A Code block holds up to 400 KB, about 300,000 characters. This snippet is a few hundred bytes.

If the wall still does not show, take the page out of an index page and turn Ajax loading off. The Squarespace article below lists both checks.
