Add testimonials to Wix
Wix keeps embeds under Add Elements, then Embed Code, then Popular Embeds. Start with Embed HTML and the snippet. If the quotes never load, use Embed a site and the hosted wall address.
Embed HTML
- In the Wix Editor, click Add Elements on the left.
- Click Embed Code.
- Click Popular Embeds.
- Click Embed HTML.
- Click the element on the page, then Enter Code.
- Paste the snippet under Add your code here. Click Apply.
- Drag the element until it is tall enough for the quotes. Wix shows this element in an iframe with a fixed size. The wall does not grow with the page, and it is not responsive.
The snippet must use https. Wix does not display http code.
<div data-wall="your-wall"></div>
<script src="https://raveroll.com/embed.js" async></script>
Until you publish, the embed says the wall isn't published yet. Collecting and approving is free.
If the quotes do not load
Wix runs Embed HTML inside its own iframe. If that frame does not run the script, switch to Embed a site. You paste an address, not another snippet.
- Click Add Elements, then Embed Code, then Popular Embeds, then Embed a site.
- Click the element, then Enter Website Address.
- Paste your hosted wall address. It looks like https://raveroll.com/w/your-wall and must start with https. Replace your-wall with your slug.
- Click Apply.
The window shows the hosted wall page, including the Raveroll header. Drag the element to the height you want. Wix says some sites refuse to be embedded. This hosted wall allows it.
Custom element
Embed HTML is the control that matches this snippet. A custom element is a different control. It needs a script you host that registers a tag with customElements.define. This snippet is a div and the embed.js script. A custom element has to register its own tag.
Wix requires a Premium plan, a connected domain, and no Wix ads before a custom element appears on the live site. The Embed HTML article does not list a plan requirement for Embed HTML or Embed a site.
These steps follow Wix Editor, embedding a site or a widget and Wix Editor, adding a custom element to your site.
